Diwali is the five-day festival of lights, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sicks, and Jains across the world, especially in India and Nepal. Diwali, which for some also coincides with harvest and Hindu New Year celebrations, is a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, and knowledge over ignorance.
During this festival, people decorate their homes with lights and oil lamps, called Diyas. For many people, Diwali honors the Hindu Goddess of wealth, Lakshmi. The lights and lamps are said to help Lakshmi find her way into peoples’ homes, bringing prosperity in the year to come!
We Wish you and yours Shubh (Happy) Diwali and prosperous, healthy, and happy new year ahead!!!
